The internationally renowned Capital Children’s Choir, founded by Rachel Santesso in 2001, is in constant demand and performs regularly for a versatile range of events: from historical and sacred occasions at the Vatican to singing alongside today’s pop superstars (Lily Allen, Rihanna, Frank Ocean, the Spice Girls). The choir is equally well known for its own recordings of choral-orchestral covers of famous pop songs; their videos have currently received over ten million views on YouTube.

The Capital Children’s Choir has performed at the FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, at the International Rugby Finals at Twickenham Stadium, in the presence of Pope Benedict at the Vatican, in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II at the Bomber Command Memorial, and on numerous major television broadcasts both here and in the USA. They have also been featured in Time Magazine, Vogue, NME, Pitchfork and every major broadsheet in the UK.

The choir records frequently with respected artists, both classical and pop, on every major label -and has also been featured on major film soundtracks as well as global ad campaigns, including Johnson & Johnson’s “For All You Love” campaign.

The Capital Children’s Choir was formed when a small group of 10 year old girls approached Rachel and asked her to start a singing club in St. John’s Wood, London. The group now involves well over one hundred children from around the capital.

Rachel Santesso

Rachel Santesso is a critically acclaimed soprano (American Record Guide, BBC, Fanfare) and composer. She studied organ and voice at the Conservatorio E.F. Dall’Abaco in Verona and oboe and piano at the University of Victoria in Canada. During that time, she played professionally with the Victoria Symphony Orchestra and worked as a radio presenter. Rachel started the Capital Children’s Choir when four 10 year olds asked her to start a singing club. Since then, their club has grown to include over one hundred members from around London and has received international acclaim
